Dead shellfish lie on the cracked and parched earth at the bottom of a canal in the central Pathum Thani province, Thailand. The country is experiencing drought in several provinces marked by water shortage in agriculture and a serious shortage of tap-water in some areas of Pathum Thani, and forcing the waterworks authority to stop supplying tap-water to some 6000 families.
